Spruce View Manor was officially opened in 1978 and renovated in 2000. It is located in the Town of Gibbons only 20 minutes north of Edmonton on highway #28A.
Spruce View Manor has 43 lodge units consisting of a 201 to 304 square foot bed/sitting area with a separate full bathroom. Residents may choose to bring their own furniture or use the lodge furniture provided. There are emergency call systems in each unit and the lodge has caring and friendly employees on duty 24 hours per day.
The lodge offers a spacious open common area with fireplace and games equipment, a craft room, recreational area, library, hair salon, residents laundry room, central dining area, Jacuzzi bath assist room and computers available for the residents use. There is a beautifully landscaped yard with paved sidewalks and a covered patio provides the perfect setting to sit and enjoy a nice sunny day.
A dedicated and qualified Program Coordinator organizes various activities, entertainment, social events, trips, exercise, crafts, games, and special functions. Scheduled transportation to shopping areas is provided and a variety of community services are available on-site by service providers.
Spruce View Manor is a non-smoking facility and smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking lounge available in this lodge.
