NORTH RIDGE PLACE

North Ridge Place is a new facility built in 2010 and offers modern amenities and clean, comfortable suites.

The Government of Alberta provided $8 Million for this senior's affordable housing development in St. Albert in partnership with Sturgeon Foundation. It provides 48 new units for seniors on land next to North Ridge Lodge and was built using modular construction. Upon completion tenants moved in March 2010. Further information on the units and eligibility for applying are listed below.

Monthly Rents

• 1 bedroom suite ~ $750.00 + cable + electricity
  
• 2 bedroom suite ~ $900.00 + cable + electricity

Rent amount includes water, sewer, waste, and heat. Additional monthly fees charged as follows:

• Laundry Facilities: $15.00 per person/month
  
• Parking: $20.00/month

Eligibility

• Independent Seniors, 65+
• Maximum Annual Single Senior's Income: $34,000.00
• Maximum Annual Family Income: $41,500.00

Priority

• Seniors currently residing in the Foundation's communities which includes:

Bon Accord, Gibbons, Legal, Morinville, Redwater, St. Albert, Sturgeon County

• Seniors who have difficulty locating affordable housing.
• Seniors who are living in housing which is detrimental to their health.
• Seniors who have accessibility needs.
• Seniors who are living in over-crowded or unsuitable accommodation.
• Seniors with low to moderate annual incomes. Applicants are income tested and current year's Notice of Assessment (from Revenue Canada) is to be included with the application form.
• Independent seniors. Assessment as to suitability for independent living is required; a Confidential Medical Report form is provided by the Foundation.
